Skills, Tactics, and Habits that TRANSLATE into game success at all levels!

Next Level Player Development

NLPD program teaches skills, tactics, and habits that translate into game success at all levels. As a private lesson student or video analysis student, we develop an individualized plan that will allow for immediate growth in your game. At each on ice lesson we will film your repetitions within a progression for immediate analysis and education on the spot. Seeing yourself on film as you go through a progression accelerates the learning process dramatically. You will also receive a follow-up video breakdown of the lesson for education between our on-ice sessions. This allows NLPD students to study away from the rink as well to continue their development and see results. The NLPD hockey program is always evolving through the detailed studying of the top players in the game.

Carey Krug

If you have a passion for the game of hockey and are serious about becoming an elite player, then you have come to the right place. Carey Krug is the Head Instructor at NLPD, he will identify the areas of your game that need improvement as well as strengthen the assets you currently have in your game. To play at the junior, college and or pro level you need to be highly skilled but also think the game at an elite level. “Hockey IQ”

Video Analysis

Most players don’t start taking their skill and game awareness development seriously until its too late! Get an edge on your peers by having a Professional dissect your shifts and educate you on ways to improve your game. If you want to play at the pro level you have to prepare like one!

Private/Group Training

We’re able to identify a player’s skill set and thought process that are either enhancing or holding that player back from reaching the next level through NLPD video analysis (need to see shifts to identify player’s strengths and weaknesses) of the player’s game, “understanding the mindset”.

HS Elite Summer League

NLPD’s Elite HS Summer Development League ( Hockey Night in the Motor City) is to introduce player’s to elite development/practice skates from NHL coaches, College coaches, and Junior coaches, to get an understanding of what the next levels are like. Teams will also play 2 games a week.
